Showing interns and graduates that placements with Hyundai are “real roles with real responsibility”

The challenge

Hyundai Motor UK’s operation is small and tight knit, and everyone must play their part - including the interns and graduates who join them on short term placements each year. We were keen to show off the benefits of the scheme versus those on offer at larger organisations, and also give a platform to their great range of cars. Lots of people apply for these roles, but what the HR team wanted to see was improved calibre of applicants by showing how desirable the roles were.

Our approach

We created a campaign platform “It starts with you” to emphasise how important each individual intern and graduate will be at Hyundai. We built a microsite, created a video of interns having a lesson in a Hyundai Turbo Veloster with a Pro Driver at Brands Hatch, and promoted the campaign via graduate and intern websites, social media and PPC.

The results

590 applications were received, 30 were shortlisted and all five roles were filled with high-calibre interns and graduates.
